Missouri House Speaker Steve Tilley Promises Up-Or-Down Vote On Pro-Life Protective Language In MOSIRA
House Speaker Steve Tilley said he would hold an up-or-down vote on the House floor on language that would be added to MOSIRA that would protect Missouri taxpayer dollars from going to abortion services, human cloning, and embryo-destructive experimentation.
This is the same protective language that is in the Missouri Life Sciences Trust Fund legislation that passed by large margins in 2003.
Speaker Tilley called Missouri Roundtable For Life in response to its press release earlier today. During the conversation he promised to hold the up-or-down vote.
"No Missouri taxpayer should be forced to pay for abortion services, human cloning, or embryo-destructive experimentation that he or she finds morally offensive," said Fred N. Sauer, President of Missouri Roundtable For Life.
